Spring and Summer Field Hockey
This is a great way to improve your outdoor skills, learn some new skills and stay in shape through the spring and summer months. It will also help keep you in field hockey shape during the off-season and give you a leg-up on your school preseason. We will use these sessions to identify our U12, U14, U16 and U19 teams for the NFHCA Spring Fling, the USAFH Bash at the Beach, the National Hockey Festival, the NFHCA Winter Escape and the USAFH National Hockey Showcase. For the players who will be heading to college, this is an opportunity for you to keep up your skills as well. Feel free to invite your friends to participate in this opportunity. Indoor Field Hockey
Indoor field hockey is a great way to improve your skills during the winter months. Tryouts are held in November for South Jersey Edge Indoor teams. Players selected for a team will practice 1-2 nights a week and will attend a minimum of 5 tournaments. Select teams will participate in a USAFH Qualifier and teams who qualify will attend the National Indoor Tournament. Indoor Field Hockey is a fast paced game and although the skills translate to the outdoor field, it is a very different game. Winter Field Hockey
During the indoor season, players may be selected for winter showcase outdoor teams. These teams compete in outdoor showcase competitions in Florida (Winter Escape in Naples, FL, and Winter Showcase in Sarasota, FL) during January and/or February.
