Indoor Field Hockey
Thank you for your interest in SJ Edge indoor field hockey. Below is an overview of our program and the indoor season from previous years.
2024-2025 EVALUATION INFORMATION
AGE GROUP BREAKDOWN
The 2024-2025 age divisions are as follows; age is determined by your age as of August 1, 2024. You will remain in that age division for the entire calendar year:
U10 – Under 10 (players born after July 31, 2014)
U12 – Under 12 (players born between July 31st, 2012 and July 31st, 2014)
U14 – Under 14 (players born between July 31st, 2010 and July 31st, 2012)
U16 – Under 16 (players born between July 31st, 2008 and July 31st, 2010)
U19 – Under 19 (players born between July 31st, 2005 and July 31st, 2008)
General Information
South Jersey Edge indoor field hockey has 4 levels available: Elite, Advanced, Intermediate, and Training Only. All teams will attend tournaments except the Training Only players. More information on the different levels can be found on page 2 in the SJ Edge Program Guide.
Winter training sessions will be held at Total Turf in Pitman, NJ. Below is the practice schedule for the 2023-2024 season:

Registration and Fees
Registration will be completed online and is available here. The total amount due will be based on team placement. All estimated fees can be found in our program guide. Once placements are announced the first payment will be due. Payments can be paid in 3 installments. If a player has a financial hardship please email us to make other payment arrangements.
Equipment Requirements
All players will need an indoor stick, mask and gloves by the first practice. Practice will begin immediately after team placements are finalized. Tournaments will be on weekends and most are within an hour of the Walt Whitman Bridge. Elite teams will begin attending tournaments in early December. Advanced teams will begin attending tournaments at the end of December. Academy teams will begin attending tournaments in early to mid-January.
