Indoor Field Hockey

2022-2023 EVALUATION INFORMATION
AGE GROUP BREAKDOWN
The 2023 age divisions are as follows; age is determined by your age as of January 1, 2023. You will remain in that age division for the entire calendar year:
U10 – Under 10 on January 1, 2023 (born 2013 and later)
U12 – Under 12 on January 1, 2023 (born 2011 and 2012)
U14 – Under 14 on January 1, 2023 (born 2009 and 2010)
U16 – Under 16 on January 1, 2023 (born 2007 and 2008)
U19 – Under 19 on January 1, 2023 (born 2006 and earlier)
All players should make every attempt to attend 2 sessions some players may be asked to attend a 3rd session if we have questions about team placement. If you cannot make 2 of the dates (Sunday 11/6 and 11/13), please reach out so we can schedule an alternate date for you.
General Information
South Jersey Edge indoor field hockey has 4 levels available: Elite, Advanced, Academy, and Training Only. All teams will attend tournaments except the Training Only players. More information on the different levels can be found on page 2 in the SJ Edge Program Guide.
Winter training sessions will be held at Total Turf in Pitman, NJ.

Registration and Fees
Registration will be completed online and is available here. All players will need to attend 2 evaluations. Information regarding dates/times for evaluations will be sent out soon. Evaluations will begin on November 6th.
The total amount due will be based on team placement. All estimated fees can be found in our program guide. Once placements are announced the first payment will be due. Payments can be paid in 3 installments. If a player has a financial hardship please email us to make other payment arrangements.
Equipment Requirements
All players will need an indoor stick, mask and gloves by the first practice. Practice will begin immediately after team placements are finalized. Tournaments will be on weekends and most are within an hour of the Walt Whitman Bridge. Elite teams will begin attending tournaments in early December. Advanced teams will begin attending tournaments at the end of December. Academy teams will begin attending tournaments in early to mid-January.
